1. Escape to Incholm Island

Escape by boat to the remarkable Inchcolm Island – described as the Iona of the East - and while away the afternoon visiting the 12th century Abbey, exploring the island and spotting seals and wildlife.

2. Hunt for Easter Eggs

Enjoy an Easter Egg hunt at one of Fife’s National Trust Properties – Kellie Castle, Culross Palace and Hill of Tarvit. For details see our What's On page. Collect your hunt map, follow the clues, solve the puzzle and then claim your chocolatey reward! 3. Discover a secret underground bunker

Descend underground on a visit to the Secret Bunker, Scotland’s best kept secret for over 40 years. There’s 24,000 sq ft of accommodation underground and had there been a Nuclear War, this is where Scotland would have been governed. Fascinating!

4. Visit the world's smallest working lighthouse

Visit North Queensferry, home to the smallest working lighthouse in the world and enjoy views of the magnificent Forth Rail Bridge – Scotland’s newest UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Why not even walk across the Forth Road Bridge to South Queensferry.

5. Explore the East Neuk and visit the magical Isle of May

Why not drive along the East Neuk and take the boat from Anstruther to the Isle of May to see the puffins.  Pack a picnic or enjoy award-winning fish and chips by the harbour on your return.

6. Follow the augmented reality trail to bring history to life

Kids will love to explore the augemented reality trail 'In the Footsteps of Kngs' with various locations throughout Fife, it's a great way to keep them entertained with a fun history lesson thrown in! The newest location on the trail is at St Andrews Cathedral.

7. Burn off some energy with outdoor play

For kids that love outdoor play, you’re spoiled for choice in Fife. Take your pick from Cairnie Mega Maze & Fruit Farm, Muddy Boots, Cluny Activities or the Scottish Deer Centre where you’ll see 14 species of deer, Fife’s only wolf pack, otters, bears, rare Scottish species and can enjoy a falconry display. All that fresh air is sure to tire them out!

8. Step back in time

Step back in time on a visit to the Fife Folk Museum to learn how Granny lived…handle the tawse, visit the dungeon and see the man-trap used to catch poachers in the 1700’s. Entry is free.

9. Explore Scotland's newest city

Dunfermline might have once been the ancient capital of Scotland, but it's now a city and has plenty to keep the kids entertained all day. From Pittencrieff Park to a history lesson at Dunfermline Carnegie LIbrary and Musuem, there's something to suit everyone. Visit the ancient Dunfermline Abbey, or the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Museum. Kids and adults of all ages will also enjoy the latest Go Escape Rooms experience at Abbot House.

10. Get up close to sharks

Kids will love a visit to Deep Sea World – Scotland’s national aquarium – which has the UK’s longest underground viewing tunnel. If you're brave enough, you can even swim with the sharks! Or head to St Andrews Aquarium where kds can enjoy daily animal talks, reptile handling and of course Easter Egg hunt competitions.
