But Leven is much more than a seaside holiday resort. It’s a modern town with a fascinating history and a thriving community at its heart.
Leven’s enviable location on Fife’s south coast, where the seaside is only minutes from the town centre, means the beach, inspiration for Jack Vettriano’s famous painting ‘The Singing Butler’, is a constant temptation. However, there’s no shortage of other places to go.
There are two much-loved parks Silverburn and Letham Glen and, when it’s not a day for paddling in the sea, there’s an indoor swimming pool with flumes and a wave machine. For train lovers, Fife Heritage Railway has regular open days.
Fancy a game of golf? Choose from two excellent golf courses. Or perhaps a night at the movies is more your thing? There’s an art deco cinema showing the latest movies in Leven town centre, where there’s also a good variety of shops and eating places.
