The 8 best places in Fife to kick flip, nose slide and land!

Fife has some of the best free skateparks in Scotland – get on your board and test out our banks, bowls, boxes and halfpipes!  There are skateparks in most Fife towns, including Cupar, Dalgety Bay, Dunfermline, Inverkeithing, Kincardine, Leslie, Leven and St Andrews.  

Burntisland Skatepark, near Beacon Leisure Centre, Burntisland 

Perfect your tricks on Burntisland Skatepark’s bowled corners, pyramid, jump box, flat ramp and mini-wall. And chill off afterwards with a dip in the swimming pool at nearby Beacon Leisure Centre. 

Cowdenbeath Skatepark, Stenhouse Street, Cowdenbeath 

Located next to Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre, this skatepark has banks, ramps, a curved spine, hips and a volcano, providing lots of opportunities for gnarly tricks or spectacular wipeouts! And if you’re a skateboard spectator rather than a skater, you can always nip into the café at Cowdenbeath Leisure Centre for a hot drink.   

Crail Skatepark, St Andrews Road, Crail 

Crail Skatepark may not be the largest, the newest or the most challenging skateboard park in Fife – but it’s ideal for learning how to skate. In addition, its basic obstacles mean it’s a great spot for the next generation of skaters and mountain bikers to get to grips with their scooters and balance bikes! 

Dunnikier Skatepark, Dunnikier Country Park, Kirkcaldy 

Small, basic – and fun! And for non-skateboarders, there’s lots to do in Dunnikier Country Park, including a play park, miles of footpaths and spectacular views across the Forth to Edinburgh. 

Glenrothes Skatepark, Riverside Park, Glenrothes 

This skatepark is so smooth it’s as though it’s been polished. Recommended by those in the know as suitable for beginner and experienced skaters, Glenrothes Skatepark has two speed bowls, a pump bump, a pyramid and lots of curves and hips.  

Lochgelly Skatepark, Hall Street, Lochgelly 

Designed with input from local skaters, Lochgelly Skatepark has been open for less than five years and offers a selection of street and transition obstacles. Check out the three-set stairs, back-and-forth run with quarterpipes at either end and jump box with tricky flatbank landing.  And its foodlit so you can skate there day and night. 

Rosyth Skatepark, Rosyth Public Park 

Rosyth Skatepark may be small but it has a bowl, a back-and-forth run and it’s super-smooth. A good place for grommets (skater kids) to gain the skills they need to become fully-fledged skaters. 

Tayport Skate Park, Cross Green Park, Tayport 

Built in 2019 after three years of fundraising by the local community, Taypark Skatepark has a selection of street obstacles including a bowl, hubba, roll-in and quarterpipe. And, coming soon to Cross Green Park- a parkour area.
