Fife Coastal Path - Elie to Cambo Sands

Elie & Earlsferry

Elie & Earlsferry

This stretch of the Fife Coastal Path is an excellent way to explore the East Neuk of Fife. However, it’s also one of the trickiest parts of this long-distance trail.

On leaving Elie, make a short detour from the Fife Coastal Path to visit Elie Ness Lighthouse and the Lady Tower, before heading along the clifftop footpath to St Monans, home of Fife’s only working windmill and a unique zigzag-shaped breakwater. Next – Anstruther, where you can boost flagging energy levels with fish and chips or relieve your thirst at a waterfront pub. Crail with its very photogenic harbour comes next, followed by Kingsbarns and stunning Cambo Sands.
