Set on the historic Castle Street which looks directly over the Dreel Burn as it flows into the Firth of Forth and over the harbour towards the lighthouse and Isle of May, it the perfect spot for a quiet stay by the sea. Entering through the main door, the apartment is on the ground level. A few steps lead into the accommodation with the compact but well-equipped kitchen positioned centrally. The lounge is to the front with an exposed stone wall, original wooden beams and a wood burning stove. There is a dining area by the window. The bedroom is to the rear with a double bed and fitted storage and window looking out onto the courtyard. The bathroom with shower over bath is beyond the bedroom.
Guests have access to the enclosed courtyard area which has seating and is a sheltered spot for some afternoon reading or morning coffee. Ideally suited to a couple or young family, there is a sofabed within the lounge allowing Watersedge Apartment to host up to two adults and two children comfortably (small surcharge for use of sofabed). Parking is available on Castle St or in the surrounding streets.
With nothing but the sea wall between you and sheltered beach, it’s a fantastic location all year round- paddle in the water and watch the resident Dreel ducks in the warmer weather or listen to the crash of the waves from the cosy lounge in the winter. All of the local restaurants, coffee shops and of course fish and chip shops are all within a few minutes’ walk and the coastal path is literally on the doorstep.
