For four generations, since Bennett Jannetta left Italy in 1908, the family have been producing artisan gelato in St Andrews. This world famous gelato is made using only the finest ingredients, many of which are imported from Italy. Be prepared to queue....although we feel it's worth the wait to try one, two or three of their 54 amazing daily flavours of ice cream!
Situated on the Fife Coastal Path, it's the perfect pit stop to sample the award-winning homemade flavoured ice cream and New York style cheesecakes, all made fresh on the premises. They also serve coffees, waffles and crepes...yum!
You'll find this delightful ice-cream and dessert parlour on the high street in Burntisland. 18 different flavours of ice-cream and sorbet are made fresh on the premises daily. They also serve bubble waffles, milkshakes & chocolate kebabs, coffee, hot chocolate, sundaes, cold drinks and treat boxes.
You'll find this quaint traditional ice cream shop in the picturesque East Neuk and guess what...they sell Jannettas gelato (shh don't tell anyone!), so perfect for avoiding the St Andrews queues! And if you're a fan of the old-fashioned sweetie jars, then you'll love this wee gem.
The newest kid on the block is The Buffalo Farm, a farm shop that launched their homemade ice cream in April this year. Made from buffalo milk it's rich and creamy and available in Plain, Respberry Ripple, Mint Choc Chip, Chocolate, Strawberry and Salted Toffee. While you're there don't forget to pick up some goodies from the amazing farm shop.
These are just a few of our favourite ice cream shops. We'd love to know yours?
