It's that time of year again, the joys of summer have come to an end but now, we can all enjoy the welcome of autumn in Fife and what better way to celebrate the turning of the season than by celebrating Halloween! We have created a list of exiciting reaons to visit Fife this month and be rest-assured that when it comes to Halloween, Fife does not dissapoint! 

Get into the autumnal spirit by visiting Cairnie Fruit Farm’s super instagrammable pumpkin patch, where you can choose from over 20,000 pumpkins of all sizes, shapes and colours! Simply book your slot in advance and choose your perfect pumpkin. All pumpkins are great for cooking, baking and carving. Remember to bring your welly boots! 

On Saturday the 28th of October, brave daredevils can explore the cellars and gardens of Falkland Palace as part of their new, fully immersive Fright Fest - expect jump scares and lots of gore! This event will involve flashing lights and sound effects. Remember to wrap up warm as it’s taking place outdoors!

Get set for a glittering night of glamour at the King's in Kirkcaldy on Saturday the 28th of October, as the Contrived Cabaret is back with a particularly spooky showcase of aerial arts, dance, burlesque, guitaraoke, spoken word, comedy and more! Over 18's only.

Why not go ahead and explore a real haunted castle at Dunimarle Castle’s Halloween event on Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of October. Surprises will lurk around every corner as you venture into the deep dark woods to find hidden pumpkins and treats! Get dressed up in your scariest Halloween outfits and enjoy a range of games and activities as well as Halloween themed food and drink.

Kids will love Artie’s Singing Kettle Halloween Show which is taking place at the Rothes Halls on Sunday the 15th of October, as well as Leven Leisure Centre’s big Halloween inflatables takeover on Sunday the 29th of October. Lang Toun Cycles are hosting a spooktacular family nighttime cycle ride around the town of Kirkcaldy at 6pm on Tuesday the 31st of October. At 5pm, a craft session will be taking place before the cycle ride so that you can create your own spooky decorations made out of old bicycle parts. 

The Scottish Fisheries Museum are hosting a pumpkin trail from the 7th – 30th of October. Follow the lanterns around the museum and discover spooky stories and spirits! The museum are also hosting a range of kid’s activities throughout the October holidays.

The Stables in Culross are hosting a performance of ‘The Witches of Culross – Merk O’ The De’il’ on Sunday the 29th of October. This performance will combine the power of oral storytelling and live visual art, to resurrect the visceral story of four women from Culross who were accused of witchcraft in the year 1675. Adults only!
